Description
Stevia Reb-A (Stevia Extract) is an all-natural sweetener extracted from the stevia leaf that is used to heighten sweetening intensity and improve the taste. The stevia rebaudiana plant contains a high percentage of steviol glycoside (stevioside) and rebaudiana A, C, D & F. The filtration and purification process of stevia extract affect the quality, characteristics, concentration and taste.
The Stevioside has a liquorice aftertaste while Rebaudioside-A has no aftertaste and is considered the best-tasting form. Rebaudioside A can be further filtered and purified up to 99%. That’s why Rebaudiana-A is more expensive. The more purified and concentrated, the less bitter and sweeter it is.
When you see Stevia 90 or 95% Stevioside on the label, it doesn’t mean it’s a good quality or it has no bitterness and aftertaste. Stevioside has an aftertaste even if it is 99% purified, but Rebaudioside A does not possess an aftertaste and has a sweetness flavour comparable to sugar.

What's the diferrence between your ORGANIC STEVIA 100% NATURAL SWEETENER and your STEVIA EXTRACT REB-A 99.8%?
As mentioned on the Description tab, the Orgnic Stevia 100% Natural Sweetener is a blend of stevia leaf extract Reb-A 99.8% and Erythritol. By blending both sweeteners we evently disperse the intense sweetness of the stevia extract. That also helps to remove the aftertaste that the stevia extract can have.
Is STEVIA EXTRACT REB-A 99.8% suitable for cooking/baking?
Absolutely. It is godd for cooking delicious treats, including pastries, cakes, biscuits, muffins and pancakes or for flavouring desserts like ice-cream and custard. However, note that it does not caramelize as sugar does.
Can STEVIA EXTRACT REB-A 99.8% replace sugar in the diet?
Absolutely. Replacing sugar in your diet can help control diabetes and aid in weight loss when used as part of an overall healthy diet and a regular exercise plan. However, note that STEVIA EXTRACT REB-A 99.8% is 250-300 times sweeter than regular sugar, so the quantity will have to be adjusted to get the desired sweetness.
