What is Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate (HWPI)?
It's a high-quality protein that's been broken down for quicker digestion and absorption. HWPI goes through a hydrolysis process, making it easier to digest, quicker to absorb, and lower in lactose.
How is HWPI different from regular Whey Protein Isolate?
Standard Whey Protein Isolate is already lean and fast-absorbing, while hydrolysed isolate is broken down a step further for even faster absorption, which some people prefer straight after training.
How much protein is in each serve?
Hydrolysed whey isolate is one of the highest-protein powders available. A standard serve is approximately 66g - see the nutrition panel for the exact protein content of your chosen flavour.
What does it taste like?
It comes in unflavoured and flavoured options and mixes smoothly in water. Hydrolysed whey can have a slightly more bitter note than standard whey, which is completely normal.
When is the best time to take HWPI?
Because it absorbs quickly, many people take it straight after training. It can also be used first thing in the morning or any time you want a fast-absorbing protein hit.
Can I cook or bake with HWPI?
Yes - it can be added to smoothies, oats, yoghurt and baking. Keep in mind that high heat can change the texture of any whey protein.
How to measure this product without using a scoop
- Standard Serving Size: Approx. 66g per serve.
- Measuring:
- Tablespoon Method: About 1 tablespoon of whey protein is roughly 8.25 grams, so you may need about 4 tablespoons (2 heaping tablespoon) for a full serving.
- Digital Scale: For best accuracy, use a digital kitchen scale to measure exactly 33g.
Is it lactose-free?
HWPI is naturally very low in lactose, though not guaranteed 100% lactose-free. Please check the label if you have a diagnosed intolerance.
Does HWPI contain gluten?
Hydrolysed whey isolate is derived from milk and does not naturally contain gluten. If you have coeliac disease or a diagnosed gluten intolerance, please check the label for your chosen flavour before use.
Can I use HWPI while losing weight?
HWPI is low in carbohydrates and fat while being high in protein, which makes it a popular choice for people managing their intake. Use it as part of a balanced diet and training routine.
How should I store it?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and reseal the bag after each use to keep it fresh.
Can I choose different flavours if I purchase more than 1KG?
Sure! Just select the 'MIX' option under flavours and leave a note in your cart with your flavour choices.
Is it made in Australia?
Yes - it is packed in Australia using New Zealand grass-fed whey.
