L-Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate (AAKG) is two compounds bonded together: the salt of an arginine molecule bonded to alpha-ketoglutarate, a precursor to the amino acid L-glutamine. L-Arginine is found naturally in foods like cottage cheese, oatmeal, beef and chicken, and is a precursor to nitric oxide production and vasodilation. It is commonly found in nitric-oxide (NO) products to aid workout performance. AAKG is thought to offer better absorption than regular L-arginine, essentially providing the support of arginine in a form designed to absorb quickly and efficiently.
