Pre-workout labels can look like a chemistry exam if you don't know what you're reading. Here's a plain breakdown of the ingredients you'll most often find, including the ones in our own Pre-Workout.

Caffeine

The main event in almost every formula. Caffeine increases alertness and can make a workout feel a bit easier to push through, which is why most people notice it as extra focus and a bit more drive in their working sets. Our formula uses 200mg per 10g serve.

Beta-alanine

This amino acid helps buffer the build-up of acid in your muscles during high-intensity work, which is part of why sets start to burn less quickly. It's also responsible for the harmless tingling feeling, known as paraesthesia, that some people notice on their skin shortly after taking it. We include 1,500mg per serve, and it's also sold on its own as Beta-Alanine Powder for anyone who wants a higher dose.

AAKG (arginine alpha-ketoglutarate)

AAKG is a form of the amino acid arginine, included to support blood flow to working muscles, often described as the "pump." Our Pre-Workout carries 1,000mg per serve. If pump is your main focus, our standalone AAKG Powder lets you dose it separately.

N-acetyl-tyrosine

A more bioavailable form of the amino acid tyrosine, which your body uses to help produce dopamine and noradrenaline. It's included to support focus, particularly late in a tough session when concentration tends to slip. Our standalone L-Tyrosine Powder is the same idea in a single-ingredient form.

Creatine monohydrate

One of the most researched supplements in sports nutrition. Creatine supports how quickly your muscles can regenerate energy during short, intense efforts like heavy sets or sprints. We include a dose in every serve of Pre-Workout, and it's also available on its own as Creatine Monohydrate Powder if you want to run a higher daily dose.

Ingredients you'll see in other formulas

Not every pre-workout is built the same way. Some brands use citrulline malate instead of, or alongside, AAKG for pump, which is why we sell L-Citrulline Malate and L-Citrulline Powder separately for anyone building a custom stack. Others include taurine or BCAAs, both of which we also stock as standalone Taurine and BCAA products.

Reading a label properly

The biggest thing to check on any pre-workout label, ours or anyone else's, is whether the doses are listed individually or hidden inside a "proprietary blend." If you can't see how much of each ingredient you're getting, you can't judge whether it's actually enough to do anything.
